EOY 2017 - Rolling Stone (AUS)
Re: EOY 2017 - Rolling Stone (AUS)
Wow - this might be the laziest EOY list I've ever seen in terms of how it was compiled. They literally just copied the USA Rolling Stone list, only with several entries removed and replaced with albums by Australian artists. (I do love that the highest one removed is the U2 album.)

Most of RS Australia’s output is just reprinted from the American magazine, so I’m surprised they even made that extra effort.Harold wrote:Wow - this might be the laziest EOY list I've ever seen in terms of how it was compiled. 10. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, “French Press”
9. Lana Del Rey feat. the Weeknd, “Lust for Life”
8. Amy Shark, “Weekends”
7. Ed Sheeran, “Shape of You”
6. Ecca Vandal, “Future Heroine”
5. Gang of Youths, “The Deepest Sighs, the Frankest Shadows”
4. Stella Donnelly, “Boys Will Be Boys”
3. Kendrick Lamar, “Humble”
2. Lorde, “Homemade Dynamite”
1. Harry Styles, “Sign of the Times”
Kinda like the top 10 more than most of the American list (even if the non-Aussie tracks are clearly copied wholesale from the American edition). Especially fond of "French Press," only I'm a little surprised an Aussie list didn't have enough room for Courtney Barnett or Jen Cloher.
