Side 2 (with an obvious exception) kind of bores me. Overall pretty great. I ranked More Songs About Buildings and Food higher in my top 500 list.

Can someone who ranked The Great Curve midpack for this album explain why? I think it's one of the 50 greatest songs of all time, so it's obviously my number one here, but I also think it's particularly emblematic of what makes this album great. I expected it to at least be the consensus 2 but doesn't look like it will.

Perfect album from one of my favorite bands. Still prefer "Fear of Music", though.

Live in Phoenix, I used to find side 2 boring, either, but with repeated listenings, I've discovered how pleasant it is. Actually, now I think it's because of this side that I feel like returning to this album every once in a while, such a remarkable atmosphere it creates. The last two tracks, specially, become surprisingly better with each audition.

Maybe the best thing of making this album's rank, for me, is that I've never seen the general critics' or fans' opinion on it's tracks. I still haven't looked at the other acclaimers' ranks (only at the comments), but I am already surprised by Jackson's comment about "The Great Curve" not being the obvious #2. Since the first time I'd heard the album, that track looks like the clear "hit" after "Once in a Lifetime".
