There are few years where I would award the top album and song to the same artist (2020 might be one of those years) but I have to pick what's in front of me, meaning PDA narrowly takes it!
This has been a blast ordinaryperson, especially in discovering Agalloch, Today is the Day and The Cinematic Orchestra tune- 1994 up next?

WINNER
The Roots feat. Cody Chesnutt - The Seed 2.0 (8) vs. Interpol - PDA (4)
Sorry for the extremely late results, the site update made me completely forget about this tournament (not kidding). Thank you all for voting in this tournament. I don't think I'm going to do one of these tournaments again, there were multiple times that I completely forgot that this tournament existed. If anyone wants to continue these tournaments they can kindly do so. The next year I planned to do was 1994, followed by 1980, 1971, 1967, and then 1956. There are other things I want to focus on and I just don't have the enthusiasm to do these tournaments anymore.

Re: Music of 2002: Finals
I'd be willing to continue this, if there's enough interest.
I know that the progression of years was based on the ranking of years on AM Holden made a few months ago, but that may have changed since the update, and I generally think we're not bound to continue this way.
We don't have to do 1994, we theoretically could do any other year, but perhaps we should continue backwards through the decades. So if anybody would rather do 1992 or 1998, let me know.
Just generally let me know if you would participate in a future tournament like this. Because if there's only gonna be three people participating, I wouldn't start it.
