20. Radiohead – Kid A
How to Disappear Completely - Idioteque

15. Pixies – Doolittle
Hey - Here Comes Your Man

12. Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin IV
When the Levee Breaks - Stairway to Heaven

10. Bob Dylan – Highway 51 Revisited
Like a Rolling Stone - Ballad of a Thin Man

9. Nirvana – Nevermind
Smells Like Teen Spirit - In Bloom

8. Arcade Fire – Funeral
Another case of "the critics favorite song is the one I like the least". I find Rebellion (Lies) fairly annoying, not terrible but really not on par with the rest of the album. On the other hand, everytime I hear Wake Up, it is temporarily the greatest thing ever, and my 2 best memories of live concerts are :
- Discovering this band back when the critical buzz had started but they were not headlining festivals, and seeing them sing this song as if their lives depended on it
- Seeing them on the exact same stage, 5 years later, now closing the festival, having to stop the concert short because of one of the heaviest summer rain Paris ever faced but coming back for a (sort of) acoustic version of the song and feeling a deep sense of communion with the thousands of people around me has everybody closed their umbrellas and joined in belting out the chorus.
The 2nd pick is slightly harder, in part due to how fantastic the Neighborhood tracks are, but it still has to go to In the Backseat that probably fits in a limited selection of songs I relate to in a personal level, as kind of being descriptive of myself.

6. The Beatles – Abbey Road
If the 3 last songs of the medley counted as 1, that'd be a no brainer but as it is, that's a much tougher choice.
Something - Golden Slumbers

3. David Bowie – The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
Moonage Daydream - Five Years

2. The Velvet Underground & Nico – The Velvet Underground & Nico
All Tomorrow’s Parties - Heroin

1. Radiohead – OK Computer
I love No Surprises, I know how great Paranoid Android and Karma Police are but my 3 favorite tracks are to be found elsewhere. I am one of the few that sings Electioneeringis actually a masterpiece, and possibly my favorite of the album, but I'll set aside at it might not be the most representative of sonic step forward that the album brought to the world of modern rock.
The DJ Shadow flavored Airbag on the other hand was the future brought to tape, with its chaotic drumbeat, its loud bass, its wall of cold electronic sounds and Thom's wailing. My other pick is one of Radiohead's greatest ballads, Climbing Up the Walls.

The votes are tallied and the playlist is updated. This took very long today, probably because almost everyone seemed to have voted for almost every album here. Andy1010 actually did vote for all of them.

Thanks all! I'm not done with the project yet, as there are surely some votes still coming, but I at least want to thank you all for participating, because I wasn't sure how well this would work and if we could keep momentum for so long, but apparently we could.

It's all good! I knew about a month ago that I'd lose some time at this point in the year so I figured I might as well get the bottom 500 since those are less discussed in general.

I should have the list in shortly.

I know. It isn't really necessary there, but since other albums with only two albums did get the votes I would like to leave nothing empty, mostly for OCD reasons.

Don't worry, I took two days off of this, but later today I'm still going to count your votes. And I expect at least Sweepstakes Ron to finish his list.

Thanks for the compliment.

All the votes have been counted and all the results can be seen spread across these pages. That took a while, as FrankLotion seems to have voted for the whole top 100! I'm waiting with calling my work complete until Sweepstakes Ron finishes his votes, assuming he still wants to play.

For now, here you can find the playlist again:

Enjoy!

Sorry Rob but I would like to edit two of my choices (if it's still possible):

184. The Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs
- No One Will Ever Love You
- I Can't Touch You Anymore (replacing "I Think I Need a New Heart," after re-listening the album I prefer the other song)

5. The Beach Boys – Pet Sounds
- God Only Knows
- Caroline, No (replacing "Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder)," I had "Caroline, No" filed under Brian Wilson and not The Beach Boys and I forgot it)
