Re: AMF WC Classics Edition 91
Excellent Question !
I wouldn't say "awesome" as I knew most of the songs that have been competing and staying around.
However, a few excellent songs popped up on my radar, although they didn't stay long...
Of Montreal The Past Is a Grotesque Animal
Bikini Kill - Rebel Girl
Solaris - Marsbéli krónikák: IV-VI
Darkwood Dub - Baobab
But until the new rules appeared, I felt the Classics edition was more of a way to remind you of great songs that went under my radar. Discoveries are now...

Re: AMF WC Classics Edition 91
In religion, I know that Del Shannon must been go to hell because he was passed away because of suicide (which was make God angry even hate to a people who suicide and deny other peoples to become that people who suicide a fan too). In performance, millenial listeners maybe forget Del Shannon (including his song, "Runaway") because when the time goes by, that listeners maybe forget less popular 1960s songs including Del Shannon little by little (see the full list of songs on every edition of Top 2000 by Dutch radio station, NPO Radio 2, on Dutch Wikipedia here to see where this song on the 2019 edition). Either way, I'm not a Del Shannon fan at all (because he was suicide), but I just congrats to Del Shannon because "Runaway" reaches the Hall of Fame.
And once again, I will request! Can you deny these Hall of Fame songs (including Del Shannon) nominated by every AM users? I like some songs on Hall of Fame including "Creep" by Radiohead but I'm so sad if Hall of Fame songs nominated again. Thanks.

Re: AMF WC Classics Edition 91
I nominated the first two on your list. With the exception of "Ever Fallen In Love" by the Buzzcocks, all of my nominees have been eliminated quickly. Most have been outside or on the lower half of the Top 10,000 so not really surprised.spiritualized wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 8:25 am Excellent Question !

Yeah, Wisnu, I personally would prefer staying on topic with this thread being about discovering acclaimed and unacclaimed songs and not your controversial beliefs about suicide.acroamor wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 4:01 pmWhew lads.Wisnu Tirta Aji wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 6:17 amIn religion, I know that Del Shannon must been go to hell because he was passed away because of suicide (which was make God angry even hate to a people who suicide and deny other peoples to become that people who suicide a fan too).

PS - L7's FUEL MY FIRE is as good as I remember... They were supposed to be guest starring the Foo Fighters concert in the Nimes Arena in July (for those who don't know, the Nimes Arena is a 1st century Roman monument which can host live concerts...still after 2000 years !!!)
But the Coronavirus decided otherwise. Foos will play next year, but I doubt the 60yo rockers will be partying with everyone in 2021...
PPS - the Prodigy's version was also quite awesome.

If it's not too much trouble to resubmit I'm all for that...however...it might not be a good idea as you may get nominations weeks in advance.spiritualized wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 6:53 am FYI - Can / Dusty /Depeche Mode won't make the chart as all the nominations are in now...Resubmit next week ?
