I WAS gonna change my avatar to the famous Tori Amos, Björk and PJ Harvey edition but I can’t find thumbnails small enough. Oh well, I tried. My favorite magazine cover ever, Sad news. Read then religiously when the Strokes started making the rounds in Scotland and opening for Catatonia and Doves around 2000 before they even made a peep here in the States.

I can't help but feel partly responsible for Q's closure for stopping buying it (had a subscription 2001-2010). I have it to thank for introducing me to Run Come Save Me, Funeral, I'm Wide Awake It's Morning to name just three of my musical keystones- I now know I probably would have found these elsewhere, I can't deny the magazine had an indelible impact on that part of my life however (as sad as that sounds!)
