We're having quite a strong streak of songs these days, although based on votes around here I seem to be the only one thinking so.

Peter Gabriel - Red Rain: 9
I only really learned to know this song after I submitted my top 1000, but nowadays this would firmly be in there. A very atmospheric piece, with a downbeat mood that is hard to describe, yet also has a curious romanticism. My favorite track from So.

Jenny Hval - Conceptual Romance: 8
I was going to see Hval in May, but although there has not been an official cancellation, with all events in The Netherlands being banned until June 1st this is definitely off. Luckily we can still listen to her strong music. I've come to appreciate her strange theatricality and literacy more with each listen.

Brian Eno - I'll Come Running - 9

I swear today’s song was picked at random and not because the title resonates all to well in the current world:

445. The Chameleons – A Person Isn’t Safe Anywhere These Days
Year: 1983
Album: Script of the Bridge
Biggest Fan: DaveC (#940)

The Chameleons – A Person Isn’t Safe Anywhere These Days: 7
People who played the Moderately Acclaimed Albums game of last year should know this, as this album did quite well. It's a dramatic piece of post-punk, with a deep voice and bass matching the foreboding of the title.
