Welcome to the March 2020 Edition of Biggest Fan! What, you think it is still February? Yes, but not once this game finishes.

What is Biggest Fan? That is a little game we play here, based on the All-Time Song Poll of last year. In that game, people could vote for their favorite songs of all time, up to a top 1000. Although a lot of songs got multiple votes, there were still a lot of songs that only managed to get one vote. The lonely tunes were then used for this Biggest Fan game, where each day there is a random song from that list is picked. People can than give them a grade and average rating of these votes will be revealed in this topic, ranked from lowest to highest. The plan is to update this top 100 every time we did another 100. People are still allowed to vote for songs that have already appeared here and can also change their votes, so list has the potential to remain dynamic.

We past the 400 recently so it is time to make a top 100 of those 400. So, now that we have over a year's worth of music, what comes out on top? One thing I can already say is that last time you needed a score of 6,230769231 to make the top 100. The leap this time around is not that big, as you need a score of 6,408333333 now.

Some facts:

- The average rating for a song is 5,859005838. Like last time we went up a little.
- It also seems to reflect a trend that songs that appear later in this game do better. The top 10 shows this best (even if it is an extreme example). From the first 100 songs that appeared in this poll none are in the top 10. From the next 100 only one. The group of #201-300 wins out with 5 songs, with 3 left for the last 100. I don't personally think that one group is obviously better or worse, but it is a noticeable difference.
- Last time The Kinks and The Rolling Stones went head to head for most songs in the top 100, but this time The Rolling Stones win easily. They lost one song, but gained one in it's place, which went straight to #9. The Kinks lost two songs and gained nothing new.
- The biggest winner, apart from the newcomers is Alice Coltrane, whose Blue Nile made the top 100, even though it didn't appear last time, despite eligibility. Her song is the first to accomplish this.
- The biggest loser is Franz Ferdinand, whose Michael is the highest ranked song last time around to be no longer in the top 100! It went from #41 to #125! Though Cat Stevens, who ranked one place lower last time with his Where Do the Children Play fared even worse, as it now occupies #137.
- Speaking of losers, did you notice those Prince songs in the top 100? No? Well, there aren't any. Despite having an obscene amount of 9 songs appearing in the poll, this is the first time none of them rank. Colonized Mind at #107 is the highest placement for the Purple One.
- Like Prince there were two other men who were everywhere in Biggest Fan and those men are of course Hymie and Zombeels, but they do far better than Prince. Both get 8 songs a piece. So this battle goes on, but it should be said that Zombeels seems gets far less and less songs to appear these days. Is he planning a comeback or will Hymie dominate next time. Hymie already wins based on placement, with a personal best of #2 in Mary Lou.
- Mary Lou is interesting in another way: it has no grade under 6! I expected it to do well, but was surprised how high it ended, but that explains things.
- Still, Shark Smile took the lead. It is the first song to make #1 in what is not the first attempt. And on a personal side-note, it is my personal favorite number 1 we have had yet.
- What hasn't changed yet is last place, which has gone to LMFAO since the first list.
- The most noticeable omission in the top 100 are of course the two songs nominated by myself, as usual. I'll remember those who voted these low once I achieve world domination (any day now). Yes, it did. It changed quite a bit, compared to most. I forgot to add the change to the points. Fixed that.

I find it a little hard to gauge. Among the newer voters there are a those who do actually vote pretty low and fewer vote relatively high. Most are more all-over-the-place. A difference may also be in who doesn't vote anymore. We lost PlasticRam and - after a while - Honorio, who both only rarely gave truly high marks (although both didn't hand out many very bad ones either) and kept things on a level, perhaps. I think I could only know if I played with the list and see how it would look if you eliminated certain voters, but at the moment I have no desire to do so.
