My favorite genre is jangle pop.

Two main reasons are: Jangle pop energizes me (read: can't sit still) and it cheers me up (read: anti-depressiva) :music-listening:

In my humble opinion though, the song you nominated is more power pop than jangle pop. But catchy yes ...

If you like Beck, you might like my 2 nominations for this week as well:

Sharon van Etten - Beaten Down
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC9GyTAuk8s
(this could have easily been a song on the Sea Change album)

The Radio Dept. - The Absence of Birds
(intro reminds me of Jack-Ass from Beck)

Did you just admit on air to bending the rules to allow a Weekly Chart of 11 to please your producer, TheLastEnemy? Not that I mind at all as it's in favour of the Agnes Obel track!

Also approved of the nod to Sepultura- Quadra's one of the albums of the year so far for me- and Sløtface (I hope I've spellt that right), who sounded a tad like Dream Wife to my ears :music-guitarred:

? What is different here?
I thought that if a track reaches the hall of fame, automatically the #11 qualifies for the next week...

Since I nominated Agnes Obel, no need to say that I am happy with her still being in the race :)

Hi Andre

mileswide is referring to my weekly radio show - I usually count down the Top 10, but this week I included Agnes Obel at number 11 too, for two reasons - (a) because we were celebrating diversity for National Radio Day, so I wanted to include as many different nationalities as possible, and (b) because the station manager really likes her music.

OK got it, thanks for the clarification and for promoting Agnes! :music-rockon:
