Biggest Fan: The Top 100 (November 2019 Edition)

With a little delay I'm now able to present you the updated top 100 of Biggest Fan, the list of songs that only had one fan on this forum (up til now!).

What is Biggest Fan? That is a little game we play here, based on the All-Time Song Poll of last year. In that game, people could vote for their favorite songs of all time, up to a top 1000. Although a lot of songs got multiple votes, there were still a lot of songs that only managed to get one vote. The lonely tunes were then used for this Biggest Fan game, where each day there is a random song from that list is picked. People can than give them a grade and average rating of these votes will be revealed in this topic, ranked from lowest to highest. The plan is to update this top 100 every time we did another 100. People are still allowed to vote for songs that have already appeared here and can also change their votes, so list has the potential to remain dynamic.

Last time we had 200 songs and in the past few months we added 100 more (we already voted for songs past #300, but they don't count yet). Last time around a song had to score 5,807692308 to make it into the top 100, but nowadays that would put you on #165.

Another thing of note is that several people who entered this game later have now voted for the whole list and others updated their votes. This didn't happen much between number 100 and 200, so there was little change in older entries, but now there have been some big shake-ups. How big? Let's see.

Yes, but since by and large this game focuses on relatively obscure and unloved songs it is always going to lead to more unpredictable voting behavior. Give a thousand people free reign to vote for any song they want and you will get usual suspects, but only give them the choice for this list and things would be different. Familiarity (to say nothing of nostalgia) are lesser factors now. How many of us had heard The Liberty of Norton Folgate before this poll?

Some extra info:

- The average rating of all the songs is 5,755144. Last time around it was 5,667904048, so we went slightly up.
- That brings me to the relative positivity towards new entry. Last time around I already noted that the songs from 101 to 200 were better rated than the ones from 1 tot 100 and this trend increases. 37 of the 100 ranked above are from the 201 to 300 group. That's somewhat more than the expected 33 (or 33,33333333 if you want to be precise and impossible). What's more, the new entries completely dominate the top 10, with seven spots! I'm not completely sure if that means anything other than that people thought the quality of this group on average was better. We lost some faithful voters this time around, but also got some new ones (it is interesting to note that between group 101-200 nobody joined the game and started rating everything, while now in the 201-300 no less than three people did).
- So, who were the most generous/ positive voters? The top 5, with a minimum of 25 votes required:

- What everyone wants to know of course is how things are with the Hymie/ Zombeels rivalry. Things are heating up. Last time around Hymie dominated with 10 songs in the top 100, whereas Zombeels got 8 in. Now they are equals with both 7 songs in the top 100! Hymie should watch his back! Still, Hymie got the highest placement, with a song at #4 (exactly the same as last time, though with another song).
- Songs not on Spotify get notably less votes, despite me posting YouTube-links to each such song. I don't know if this is coincidence, but they also tend to score far worse. Rakset El Fadaa is the only one to make the top 100.
- Lastly, I'm still the general fall guy here. I got NO songs in the new group of 201 to 300 and the two that where already in still don't show up in the top 100 and actually keep dropping. This aggression will not stand!
