Great to have so many votes last week, let's keep that going

Probably too late for Borderline to be withdrawn (I've checked, it was released in April) but Rdwdbob should be credited with bringing that and It Might Be Time to the table, rather than me. Not a criticism as this chart's vital for introducing me to new music, here's hoping the votes keep rising!

Thanks Mileswide. Not that it really matters to me who gets the credit. I'm with you ... I follow this chart primarily to share and get turned on to new music. For example I really hadn't given Foals a chance until I heard 'The Runner'. I've subsequently downloaded both of their newest releases and will almost certainly find them in my 2019 top ten. Big thanks to whoever nominated that one! :music-rockon:

It's done you a service by switching you on to Foals alone! They're responsible for some of the best guitar music this decade for me, their 2010 album Total Life Forever at the very least will be high in my EOD list and In Degrees off Everything Not Saved Part 1 should be in my EOY top 5 songs :music-guitarred:

That's made me think- I don't know if this is what happens every year but it might be worth having a Best of 2019 Weekly Chart at the end of this year. We could either vote on the Hall of Fame entries/weekly #1s or everyone nominates their favourite discoveries from 2019's WC, then we choose the best 10.

I take it back if it's a daft idea or if it'll end up in more work for TheLastEnemy but what do people reckon?

So pleased my nomination made it to the top after some hairy moments (they almost got kicked out several times). Finally a great rocker which is liked by the crowd.
Now to the Hall of Fame :)

My nomination for this week : a little French psych-rock band from Toulouse I never heard of before, but this track is great : Karkara - Proxima Centaury

I kinda like the idea of taking all of the Hall of Fame entries for the year and having everyone rank them in order of their favorites to determine a definitive AMF Weekly Chart end of year Top 10.

I actually suggested that in 2018 I think, to no great enthusiasm. But opinions change and you seem to have a bit more following. Happy with a top 10 that way too

I was thinking about suggesting something similar myself, so am happy to host it. I will give some thought to how best to work it. Always the option to do a similar thing for previous years.

No more nominations please. I would like plenty more votes though (preferably not for Borderline as it shouldn't be there).
