After the conversation about GG in this sub I might as well nominate a song.

It’s too bad Dirty Magic hasn’t gotten more attention. It is one of The Offsprings more grunge and goth inspired songs from their second album. If you haven’t heard it, check it out.

To get anyone to listen to the lesser known songs is a challenge. I think the key is to encourage more voters to actually listen to the playlist. With the number of Spotify followers at 3 (and based on the voter behavior we've seen since the start of this), I would estimate the number of voters who listen to all the songs at somewhere under 50%. And I think this has declined from the early weeks, when somewhat unknown songs could make it through a couple weeks.

Good analysis Brad, but I'm not sure what I could do to "force" people to listen to all the songs :)

Not "force"... "encourage"! You see what I'm saying, right? And no way all these folks actually listen to "Stacy's Mom" every week and keep voting for it...

I listen to every song every week. It’s incredible to me how many times a song that I wouldn’t even consider after first listen can within a couple weeks be an automatic vote (and vice versa). For me that’s why I enjoy this forum so much.

Totally agree with you Rdwdbob. An initially average track can easily become a favorite after a few listens.
