This month's highlights are obnoxious proto-punk and indulgent prog, I fully approve!

Girls in Hawaii – Catwalk 5
Jenny Lewis - Acid Tongue 7
Riot - You Burn in Me 4
A7X - Fiction 6
Queen - All Dead, All Dead 4
Los Saicos - Demolición 8 Like Rob, I hear elements of Surfin' Bird but also Woo Hoo (as in the tune in Kill Bill 1), the band tear both up with garage-rock brio
Rush - Yyz 8
Monks - I Hate You 9 Now in contention for my all-time list, need to hear more of them
Car Seat Headrest - Not What I Needed 7 The original recording of Bodys from the same album is a 9 (the re-recording not far behind)
Rooney - When Did Your Heart Go Missing? 5
John Mellencamp: What If I Came Knocking 4
Tyler, the Creator feat. Frank Ocean & Steve Lacy - 911/Mr. Lonely 4
Guns 'N' Roses - Prostitute 2
Cocteau Twins - Frou-frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires 8 More direct and better than any other Cocteaus track I've heard
Nick Drake - Saturday Sun 6
Game Theory - Like a Girl Jesus 4
Eminem - Drug Ballad 7
The Heavy - How You Like Me Now 7
Joan Baez - Silver Dagger 5
Janet Jackson - If 5 One of those I didn't realise I knew, I couldn't remember the incongruous Supremes-sampling intro though. I'm with Safetycat on this, the vocal mix on the verses is shoddy. That's The Way Love Goes from the same year is a 10
Alain Bashung - Madame rêve 7
My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words 5

Just so you know, these last-minute votes (also for January) are still included in the results that will come up quickly.

Thanks Rob, I know I was pushing it fine but I thought I may as well try to cram these in before the deadline. I'll aim to get up to speed with November's soon too- raring for the new top 100!

No problem. Hope you'll listen to the missing ones in the future (if you do, please make new posts for the new votes, so I don't overlook them).

Yes, I'll definitely make new posts for any prior months. Thanks Rob, this is a really cool endeavor!

Nope... I thought at first it was a comic parody. I think i'm little too old for this 2/10

C'mon, it's not that bad.
Actually, yes it is. Listened to it first this morning as background music and it came across as mediocre, but unoffensive. Just now I heard it more closely and I thought it was really, really bad. The reason is simple: Britney Spears can't sing. I never thought much of her vocals, but now, hearing her do a heartfelt ballad, her limitations are completely exposed. She sounds weak and struggling. It makes for a grating listen. Musically and lyrically it is a standard ballad from the nineties (that somehow was made in 2005), but the voice is below that standard. Easily one of the worst songs from this whole poll for me.

Britney Spears - Everytime: 2

Of Course, had Glen Hansard wrote this, you would deem it musically and lyrically a sincere and affecting ballad.

Regardless, listening to Glen Hansard's cover, you're still admitting that Britney Spears composed a sincere and affecting ballad.

So Britney still wins.
