It seems strange to me that Low has made on of the most acclaimed albums of the year, but it hardly has made an appearance here. I think only once, unsuccessfully? Granted, they work best in context of the album than as standalone songs, but I would still like to give them a try. So I nominate:

Low - Always Up

About that Grimes song, that could almost be the biggest musical disappointment of the year to me. All original qualities of Grimes previous efforts seem to be removed to come to more standard modern sound. Even the fascist robot theme feels extremely stale and cliched. It does reasonable well here, so it doesn't seem to be consensus, but if you ask me, Poppy out-Grimes Grimes here (with Grimes actual help, to make things weirder).

I totally agree with you, I can't stand We Appreciate Power. The song's fundamental problem is that the phrase "we appreciate power" is not a great hook for a chorus, and it is repeated over and over again with little variation. This is probably the worst thing I've ever heard from Grimes.
