It pains me to think that someday someone will nominate Dancing In The Dark and it'll shoot right into the HoF.

Not that it means anything but I'll second War Pigs, esp after the great write-up by pitchfork this week.
I love Black Sabbath, even their bad albums.

Ah ! The Pitchfork review and my nomination are purely coincidental.
My love for the Sabbath came really late, but I remember a quirky anecdote from my teens. I walked one day in the only cool record store in my provincial town, looking for the latest goth records, as I was very much into that in the late 80s.
Being French but reasonably conversing in English, I picked up this cool-goth-sounding name of a band...Black Sabbath, with a cool, goth looking sleeve and handed it to the record store clerk. He looked at me for a second and said, « nah mate, this isn’t for you, it’s kinda heavy metal. At the time heavy metal meant AC/DC or Judas Priest to my untrained ears, so I quietly put the record back with a red face. I went and picked up a Fields of the Nephilim album instead and ignored Ozzie for another decade at least. This marked me forever :)

That's excellent - imagine the path you may have gone down had you not been "saved" by the record store clerk!

Thea Gilmore - That'll Be Christmas.

(I'm not normally a fan of cynical Christmas songs, but this one is fantastic. And I'm off to see the wonderful Thea this evening! :D )
But I was caught, like a fleeting thought,
Stuck inside Leonard Cohen's mind

I thought I might nominate Bohemian Rhapsody before someone else did and watch it shoot to the HOF and draw plenty of hate posts in the interim. It's just too much a no-brainer so instead I'll be going with Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now'.
