Unfortunate draw as One Beat is my second favourite of the eight.

4. John Coltrane - My Favorite Things vs. 8. Cyndi Lauper - She's so Unusual
2. Sleater-Kinney - One Beat vs. 3. Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues
6. Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans vs.5. Sonic Youth - Washing Machine
7. M. Ward - Hold Time vs. 1. Aimee Mann - Music from the Motion Picture Magnolia

Cyndi Lauper and M. Ward are a bit outmatched here if you ask me, but no album here is even close to being bad. And I did actually develop something of a soft spot for Hold Time.

I noticed that three out of four albums from the fourth bracket in these two weeks are my nominations, with Aimee Mann, Johann Johannson and Dolly Parton. These three and Camel are my remaining entries. I lost one album each round and this round I'll lose one by default as Johannson and Parton are up against each other. Otherwise, I'd be happy to keep up this trend even if it is unlikely to last this round.

Interesting quote Sweeps, and I'm not entirely sure if you're being facetious or not, but lately I've been finding myself a bit less interested in listening to Sonic Youth. I've been a moderately big fan since around the time their "sell-out" album Goo came out, but it's been a long while since I've reached willingly for any of their albums. I'm revisiting Murray Street and Sonic Nurse this month to check myself... I'm concerned either they or I are not aging well.

12 hours left to vote, folks!

Haha, I just meant I was getting sick of this particular album (I listen to all the albums in each round for each week). It's actually the only Sonic Youth album I've heard so far. I do truly love "Teen Age Riot" so I really ought to listen to Daydream Nation and hope it's not just a fluke.
