Just returned from a fun trip to Italy, so my nomination is:
Lucio Dalla - Come e profondo il mare

Also, I don't believe the studio version of Wijs me de weg does it justice. The terrific, fully-orchestrated version is the one I'd go with.

I think "The Load Out" really loses its oomph without it's companion piece "Stay"

It's actually a separate track on spotify, though the two run together pretty seemlessly on the album - the last two songs on Running On Empty:
https://open.spotify.com/track/14ldz51B ... V4QCGZjkSA

PS - I get this might be "cheating" but you would never hear these songs separated on the radio - kind of like pulling apart the Abbey Road Medley!

I wanted to finish my holiday tribute to Bulgaria and Romania with the following song:

George Enescu - Romanian Rhapsody No. 1

But that is a classical piece and I can imagine that something like that doesn't sit well with people here, even if it isn't as huge as Ode to Joy or something. Any opinions about this?

Absolutely right! The song only works with the two tracks combined. That was my intention when I nominated it. Didn't think there might be an issue on how we listen to this music on Spotify.

Not a problem for me. This game is more about discovery than competition.

OK I see your point, but some (of which I am) don't have a subscription to Spotify and therefore have to listen to the playlist in shuffle mode...which makes the point moot. So difficult to judge whether Jackson Browne would have an unfair advantage here :)
