For me I've already got the best of all time and best of the year covered. So I'm interested, what is YOUR favorite. What do YOU think is the greatest thing ever?

I like looking at personal lists. If they have a lot what I like then I'm more inclined to check out artists and albums I haven't heard.

I agree with this. Also, interesting poll, wondering what the results will shake out to be after some more votes...

On my side I'm more interested on magazine or website lists on which there already are albums I like/love, more than personal lists of the same caliber.
And not to be "that" guy, but I'm actually more into decade lists as I can then have less 60s, 70s and more 90s, 00s, or even genre specific lists which are more likely to have surprising gems ranked high (the Pitchfork genre lists for instance have some very interesting stuff in their top 20, that don't usually appear on their lists).

I always like going by year, as I like seeing the music that came out around the same time. More specific lists also allow more room for odd choices.
