According to some tweets I saw, it was apparently an unauthorized release. Oh well, maybe one day the Captain’s magnum opus will be available for streaming.

That album was released by Third Man Records, the label of Jack White.

That kind of problem happens when there are more than 1 owner of the digital rights of the recordings and it's very common on music before the internet (legal vacuum on contracts, etc)

Model 500's Deep Space & Curtis Mayfield's (There's No Place like) America Today have returned to Spotify, though the latter may only be searchable if ~~your~~ you* replace the word 'like' with 'lime' thanks to a typo.

Bobby Womack's Across 110th Street and Backxwash's God Has Nothing to Do with This... are still AWOL, aside from a few tracks in the case of the Womack album.

*How ironic yet hardly unprecedented from me

Apparently it already happened somewhere in March, but the first two albums by Aimee Mann, Whatever and I'm With Stupid, are finally available on Spotify. There were some notorious licensing disputes regarding the albums so it is good to finally see them again. Whatever ranks on AM.

They say if you have a desktop computer you can add your own music. Seems so dated though like iTunes when the iPod was first created. You’d think they’d have updated to every device imaginable with these streaming services being in such high demand during the pandemic.

For those looking for a non live version of Wise Up by Aimee Mann on her 20th anniversary addition oh her Bachelor, No. 2 album there’s a rendition but it sounds either remade or remixed or something but it seems a little different at least IMO. Still really nice and it beats only having the live version.
