Slim picking in the next month, and a rough collection of album art too.
I'm excited for the new Susanne Sundfør album! It's also on the 25th too.

Of course I could be missing the biggest albums of the month; I don't really keep up with singles, so I have no idea which new bands have any hype.
I've added the Susanne Sundfor album.

I had a look on the wiki page, and it really does seem like an empty month. I guess all the musicians are on summer break? It's almost as dead as January at the moment for gigs.
That would be interesting to know, when the most popular times of the year to release music are. Guessing December might have the numbers, but not the acclaim.

I was considering starting up the weekly topics if I had time, Bleu. I assume you wouldn't mind. I remain too focused on the weekly releases to not want to spur on more discussion on the side
Also - I hadn't seen that Kesha cover yet. Quite something.

If you want to sometime, go ahead; I'm not particularly attached to running this myself, but I think it's a valuable part of the forum.

Is that the one with Corin Tucker and Mike Mills? Or is that another supergroup?

No, that one is Filthy Friends, and as muc has I love Corin Tucker, the first song is fairly average (and some of the promo pics quite ridiculous).
Dead Cross is Mike Patton, Dave Lombardo and a bassist that seems quite respected in the hardcore/grindcore community. So not gentle music.

Aw man. Nothing to get excited about for either one, for me.

I featured Kesha's Rainbow largely due to the cultural importance of the record being released, but the early reviews are actually really positive.

Who would've figured that Kesha would be the one to release the
Lemonade of 2017?

I really liked the new War on Drugs and QOTSA. EMA was good.
