What do you prefer out of the top lists?
Which one do you prefer to look at recommendations for albums?

Doesn't seem to be a huge margin of difference.

letmeintomyzone, I'd like to understand what you're after. I hope no one wants me to decrease the all-time list from 3000 to 250 or 300. On the other hand, I think that in most peoples' subjective opinion they find a higher percentage of great albums in the top 250 than in the 251-300 region. So what is this question about?

I've been thinking about it, and longer the list, the better it is, cos even if the bottom part of the list was a bit weak, you'll still find some hidden gems eventually.
I feel like that

I like it just like it is. Gives me plenty of options to choose from

Weird question
Re: What do you prefer out of the top lists?
Frankly, at this point in time, any greatest-albums list - especially an aggregate like this one - with fewer than 500 entries is close to worthless. I might even go as far as 1000. I'm not exaggerating. 250 or 300 might as well be 20.
Re: What do you prefer out of the top lists?
The first 200-300 or so are the albums everyone already knows are great, and the rest of the list is albums fewer people think are great or people don't necessarily agree to be great.
I want to hear about both.
