Oh, fuck. Tears. I'll go be listening to The Great Twenty-Eight now. He was a creep, but he still made some great songs.

Not a perfect human being, but rock and roll literally wouldn't be the same without him (hell, you could almost argue rock and roll wouldn't exist without him). RIP.

Amazing that Berry found another album in him. I'm perfectly fine with the idea that Dylan might not record another album of original material (since he's 75), yet Berry set what must be a benchmark at 90 years old for a "major" rock & roll artist (say, anyone among the AM top 200 artists).

I checked out Berry's box set, and I pretty much just like what's on The Great Twenty-Eight; but the songs on that one collection were plenty for a revolution.

Still alive: Jerry Lee Lewis (81), Little Richard (84), Fats Domino (89).

Woah, that's gonna be a high-profile release.

My bet is on Dylan dropping a couple of original albums still.

Very sad news about Chuck. He will forever be known for his guitar-rockin' hits, but my personal favorite by him might be the haunting, downbeat "Downbound Train" from 1955. It sounds especially ominous tonight...

I'll echo everyone's feelings, it's very sad news. When I started exploring the early years of rock'n'roll, Berry was probably the artist I listened to the most. Easily the best and catchiest guitar player of the bunch. R.I.P. Chuck.

An important figure of course, but also simply a great rocker. His music has ages incredibly well.
