How do you start a sub-forum here? I want to start a new feature where, upon receiving an artist/band, we rank our favorite tracks by that particular band/artist. For the first of (hopefully) many, I decided to start with one of my personal favorite bands, R.E.M.
Straight out of Athens, Georgia, these four were pioneers of the '80s alt-rock scene and were eventually major figures in the (paradoxical) mainstream alt-rock boom of the 1990s. Plus, Michael Stipe danced really weird.

There was an ongoing Individual Artist Poll that BleuPanda unfortunately had to pass the torch on. However, no one stepped up to the plate, so Steviefan13, feel free to take up the mantle! However, I do think you should go in order.
So we base the order of the Individual Artist Polls on the 2016 AMF Artist Poll, given here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3966&hilit=amf+arti ... 550#p58413
So far, we've had polls for The Beatles (#1) , David Bowie (#2), Bob Dylan (#3), Radiohead(#4), Bruce Springsteen (#6), Leonard Cohen (#53). Some have been out of order due to priority for artists that passed away and other reasons. But the next one should be The Rolling Stones (#5). The good news for you is that R.E.M. is #7, so they'd be right afterwards.

OK, so I see Radiohead, Leonard Cohen, The Beatles, and Bob Dylan have already been taken care of. No big. Wasn't planning on going for as many obvious-obvious artists.

I don't know if I'd go in the exact order - I was sort of just planning on doing it based on who I was in the mood to cover. But if that's how you want to do it, I'll bend. Happy to get to the Rolling Stones next.

None of these are in my top 500, and for me, R.E.M. is a borderline top-100 band. They're consistently good, but they never wow me. Stipe doesn't convey much emotion to me, unlike every other top-20 artist.

Some stats:
- "Radio Free Europe" won by a considerable margin, appearing on 13 lists. "End of the World" and "Losing My Religion" tied at 11 lists each, though the two were neck-in-neck through the entire listing process.
- Unsurprisingly, the album with the most songs featured on the list was Automatic for the People, with eight of its twelve tracks all making the cut. Murmur came in second, with six songs on the list.
- Surprisingly strong showing for the mid-90s, with three tracks from New Adventures in Hi-Fi and two from Up making the cut.
