What to do about Rank the Tracks?

Post by PlasticRam »

I think the current situation isn't good that people keep posting lists on separate threads so Rank the Tracks takes so much space on the first page. Perhaps a sub-forum could be created?

Well, I'm afraid i wasn't expecting such a flood of bumping threads on the first hours. I just hope it's going to be only the immediate reaction and things will get calmer on a few days. Anyway a sub-group of threads (like the ones on the critics lists for the EOY lists) grouping the Rank the Tracks threads would be nice too. But I don't know how to do it...

Yeah I mean I don't know, I think someone will from time to time get the idea to do a list, and of course there's nothing wrong with that by itself.

I hope Henrik will see this and either create a sub-forum or comment otherwise. I'm assuming only a mod has the rights to create such a thing.

Or of course if the 'no' option wins in the poll, I have no problem with leaving things as they are.

Oh, now I see you specifically planned a competition. I thought this was just some completely unexpected thing that was catalysed by something.

But I guess visually it is a problem, so I'm hoping there will be a sub-forum still.

I will create a subforum if that's what most people want. The threads do take up a lot of space. Nevertheless, it's great to see such activity!

That's fine with me. And all the Rank the Tracks threads could be moved there?

I think a subforum could be nice; that's what I would have wanted but felt rude to ask. Space was always the issue with this project.

Can I suggest keeping Honorio's main thread in the main forum, and creating a sub forum for the voting threads? This will remind everyone of the existence of the polls while circumventing the flood of threads here.
