In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country beating Emmylou absolutely blows my mind. Someone's going to have to explain to me the appeal of that song. I've given it a few listens, along with some other Boards of Canada songs, but I can't get into them at all. Not much of anything going on musically or rhythmically with just creepy sounds in the background as far as I can tell. And Emmylou is in my all-time top-50.
It's fascinating to me because I think you guys have the best musical tastes of any group I've ever come across. All of the forum's best-of-the year/decade/all-time etc. lists are as good as any I've come across. But then every once in a while a result like this comes up and makes me scratch my head.
