Fairly easy choices for me, based on last week's ratings.
I will listen to the ones with less than 1/2 star difference

Match-ups:
Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns Image
Nick Cave - The Boatman's Call Image

Amon Düül II - Yeti Image
Arthur Russell - World of Echo Image

Julee Cruise - Floating into the Night Image
Bon Iver - Blood Bank Image

Bon Iver's Woods is horrible. Sounds like Cher's "I Believe" with this auto-tune. Yuck.

Exuma - Exuma IIImage
The Loud Family - Plants And Birds And Rocks And Things Image

1. Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns vs. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Boatman's Call
Nick Cave has never "hit" for me like a lot of other artists on his level. But alas, it looks like he'll take it over the strongest and most diverse albums of the 70s.
2. Amon Düül II - Yeti vs. Arthur Russell - World of Echo
Two very strange records, both of which I missed the first round. I think I'll have to go with the Arthur Russell record though for how at peace it feels.
3. Julee Cruise - Floating into the Night vs. Bon Iver - Blood Bank
Bon Iver is one of the few acclaimed artists I actively dislike. Can't stand the voice, can't stand the lyrics, just awful. Meanwhile, Julee Cruise made a lovely, evocative, dreamlike album that only gets better the more I hear it.
4. Exuma - Exuma II vs. The Loud Family - Plants And Birds And Rocks And Things
Another set of great discoveries. I decided to give it to Exuma though, because while the Loud Family made a great album, it's great in a way that I've heard before. Exuma's something else altogether.

1. Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns

Amazing that I vote against Nick Cave twice in a row, and even more so that it was my nomination.

3. Julee Cruise - Floating into the Night.

I'll add a vote for Loud Family 98-88.

Exuma is great but something about Scott Miller's smartass counterpop strikes a major chord with me.

"Smartass counterpop" would be a wonderful name for a genre.
