The top 10 songs from last week's chart went through to this week's. A small voting party last week, but still enough of a tide to edge out one long-running chart song for a newbie by Beck. There are still a couple songs in the running for Hall of Fame entry soon, with Sufjan Stevens' entry on a potential track to tie Grimes' record for seven weeks atop the chart. We'll see how the rankings turn out come as we enter the second half of the year.

2015 Chart-Toppers by Week (by vote count, not chart position; total weeks atop chart in parentheses):
1. Alvvays - "Archie, Marry Me" (2) / Kanye West feat. Paul McCartney - "Only One"

25. Florence + The Machine - "Ship to Wreck" / Sufjan Stevens - "Fourth of July" (5) / Tame Impala - "Eventually" (3)

2015 Hall of Fame (10 weeks of advancing votes; automatically retired from chart):
Björk - "Black Lake" (Weeks 4 - 13)
Courtney Barnett - "Pedestrian at Best" (Weeks 5 - 14)
Father John Misty - "I Love You, Honeybear" (Weeks 7 - 16)

Here is your 2015 AMF Chart playlist of all songs on the chart so far this year:

Thank you all for voting and nominating continuously every week! Please don't be afraid to supply us with nominations - all songs six months old and younger (or who have received promotion via album/video/single in the last six months) are accepted! And seconding nominations by others' gives those songs a better chance at making the next poll!

As per usual, the next poll will be created as close to Sunday at 19:00 UTC as I can make it. Best of voting! :D

And just as a note to follow up last week's discussion: tombeet suggested the idea of bringing back already eliminated songs on the chart if there is enough support. I like this idea, but feel it has to be executed carefully:

- I think a song could be brought back to the chart given it clearly has enough people wishing for it to be. So, perhaps if a song received one or two seconding re-nominations in addition to its primary re-nomination during the week. I wouldn't want to bring a song back onto the chart only to have it receive one or two votes again in its re-entry.

- I don't think bringing back songs who had a very long-lasting presence on the chart will be very helpful to the flow of new songs either, so maybe only songs that lasted under five weeks on the chart? Two, three or fours weeks sound reasonable to me too.

Let me know what you all think! Deliberating new rules 'round here.

I think re-nominating already charted songs is okay with your suggestions of seconding or tripling of those re-noms. I'd also like to suggest that the original runs of these re-moms be limited to five weeks max. Every week I listen to each track in its entirety. I really don't want to listen to tracks that may have had an eight or nine week run and then come back for another eight or nine weeks. Especially if I didn't care for that particular track in the first place. Once again I'd like to commend Setherex for the great job being done here. This site is nirvana for us music neurotics! :music-rockon:

I still think that limit the second chance songs to 2 weeks max is the best, as it is really to recognize overlooked songs. anyway for this week, I'l second Sparks (Beach House - my favorite band's back ^^) and Late to the Party by Kacey Musgrave
New songs for this week:
Thundercat - Them Changes
Vince Staples - Get Paid

I agree that a 2 or 3 week maximum is better than 5 weeks for revisiting songs.

So many of my past nominations! I'm going to have to second all of them ;)

As well as Beach House. For good measure.

Father John Misty - "The Suburbs" (Arcade Fire cover)
Titus Andronicus - "Fired Up"
Myrkur - "Onde Born"
