Welcome to Week 44 of the AMF Chart! The chart where newcomers should fear - the end of year selections are here...

The top 10 songs from last week's chart went on to this week's. It appears that our voters didn't much favor new songs the past cycle. Perhaps once new end of year selections come in, some songs will settle into place? Or will there only be more chaos? Time will tell. I'm gonna impartially vote for the latter, however.

Here is your 2014 AMF Chart playlist of all songs on the chart so far:

Thank you all for voting and nominating continuously every week! Please don't be afraid to supply us with nominations - all songs six months old and younger (or who have received promotion via album/video/single in the last six months) are accepted! And seconding nominations by others' gives those songs a better chance at making the next poll!

As per usual, the next poll will be created as close to Sunday at 19:00 GMT as I can make it. Best of voting! :D

Please note that while the EOY song spreadsheet is being updated, the rules for nominations have changed to the following:

1. Songs from new albums on the Megacritic chart
2. Nominations, one per voter
3. The highest placed songs in the current eoy spreadsheet (skipping the 6 months rule)

Please also feel free to suggest changes and discuss the new rules. They were suggested by Henrik, however we are very open to feedback! We are still in an experimental run of the AMF Chart, after all.

I'm gonna propose "Caribou" by Tanya Tagaq. This is just past the six month limit (released May 24) but it won a major award in September (the Polaris Prize) and is getting some year end attention in Canada.

I nominate Swans - Screen Shot.

Another May release, but it seems like we forgot it. It should have a good chance to advance if it is deemed eligible.

I wonder if we should extend the eligibility window from 6 months to 1 year. I discover a lot of things through the EOY lists, and releases from the spring and the autumn feel equally new to me.

Fair enough. Though it does make me wonder where exactly we should draw the line when it comes to eligibility (and, for that matter, checking for eligibility).

For example:

Is a tad over the 1 year mark in terms of release. Though a remix featuring A$AP Ferg was released in August, so I'm going to include that version in this week's poll if it's all the same to everyone.

Anyway, my nomination for the week is Nicki Minaj feat. Beyonce - "Feelin' Myself." Get your votes/nominations in before the new poll is created! In like an hour...
