Congratulations to Spoon's "Outlier" for entering our Hall of Fame. That's the second artist to retire two songs this year, following Sun Kil Moon, and again with a song that I wouldn't have expected. I suppose you guys like deep cuts. Excluding "Outlier's" retirement from the chart, the top 10 songs went on to this week. Note that due to a lack of nominations last week, two nominations were taken from the last available week (40).

Here is your 2014 AMF Chart playlist of all songs on the chart so far:

Thank you all for voting and nominating continuously every week! Please don't be afraid to supply us with nominations - all songs six months old and younger (or who have received promotion via album/video/single in the last six months) are accepted! And seconding nominations by others' gives those songs a better chance at making the next poll!

As per usual, the next poll will be created as close to Sunday at 19:00 GMT as I can make it. Best of voting! :D

My next nomination is "Vessel" by Dan Mangan + Blacksmith. Bonus points to anyone who can identify the backing vocal on the chorus.

Not a fan of having two tracks from the same artist vying for votes. Seems to me that subliminally we may vote for only one of the tracks essentially splitting the vote. :? That being said ... my first nomination this week:

Cold War Kids - 'Go Quietly' (go figure)

and my second: Drums - 'I Hope Time Doesn't Change Him'

Setherex, many many thanks for your great work with the chart week after week!
Let me know if you get tired some day...

Should we keep the rules for nominations, or should we also include some songs from the EOY 2014 songs spreadsheet, that have not been included in the chart yet? Of the top 13 of the first spreadsheet update, these have never been on the AMF chart (at least they are not in the 2014 AMF Chart playlist of all songs on the chart so far):

9. Taylor Swift - Shake It Off
10. Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne - Rather Be
12. Alvvays - Archie, Marry Me
13. SBTRKT feat. Ezra Koenig - NEW DORP. NEW YORK

I was wondering the same and don't see the reason why not. I'll second Shake it Off.

If they're noms ... I second Alvvays - 'Archie, Marry Me'.

I'm not entirely sure what to do with the AMF EOY song chart entries and this chart... If anyone has a legitimate way to amend the rules to include them fairly, please let me know! Henrik included. Though as of right now I suppose I'll just keep them as Henrik's nominations? They'll all likely make this week's chart based on that criteria along anyway haha.

A reminder to get your votes / nominations / seconding of nominations in before the new poll tomorrow. My nominations:
Sleater-Kinney - "Surface Envy"
Purity Ring - "Push Pull"
Freddie Gibbs & Mike Dean - "Sellin' Dope"

How about only use one nomination per voter, and fill up with songs from the most recent eoy spreadsheet? What I mean is this:

1. Songs from new albums on the Megacritic chart
2. Nominations, one per voter
3. The highest placed songs in the current eoy spreadsheet (skipping the 6 months rule)
