R.I.P. Jack Bruce

A legend has passed - Cream bassist/lead vocalist/chief songwriter Jack Bruce has died of liver disease at 71.

I've always been fascinated by Bruce's extreme love-hate relationship with drummer Ginger Baker, who posted a brief note of condolence on his Facebook page. Their animosity was legendary, but as musicians they always brought out the best in each other; the optimist in me would like to think that they'd been in communication recently and managed to end on a good note (as good as things can get with Mr. Baker, anyway).
