Here is your 2014 AMF Chart playlist of all songs on the chart so far:

Thank you all for voting and nominating continuously every week! Please don't be afraid to supply us with nominations - we were unfortunately low one nomination last week, so I took a nom from Week 25 to fill out the ranks. Also, this week's poll will only last six days until Sunday the 17th at 19:00 GMT. All part of my efforts to try and be more consistent with this poll despite my slight mess ups, haha.

Best of voting! :D

Has Sun Kil Moon's Micheline still not been featured yet? If so, can I throw a nomination its way?

Also, "Queen" is by far my favorite song of this year. I hope it makes it at least a week.

I'm happy that the SQL page problem got resolved, just barely survived the day of life without this chart ... :o

Don't know what your experience is, but I'm having some major problems with voting this week. Apart from the songs I nominated myself, where I feel a strong urge to have to vote for, there are quite some awfully splendid songs on this week's chart ... :music-listening:

What an intriguingly chaotic week in the life of the AMF chart. I'm glad it has such big fans to keep it alive :)

This slid down a bit due to the chaos of the forum.

Haha, it definitely did. But that's alright. At least it appears that the poll numbers have stayed relatively consistent.

Though our nominations haven't though... Throw them our way, guys! As many as you have in reserve. Without nominations, we struggle quite a bit 'round here.

The current chart is already getting loaded with nominations from me, but OK, here are some more nominations for ya:

1. Fink - Looking Too Closely (the new Fink album has more beauties, but let's start with this one)
2. Woods - Shining
3. Angus & Julia Stone - Grizzly Bear

No such thing as too many nominations! :D Thanks Andre

But of course, we don't want to make it the Andre poll either - everyone should participate what they can :)

I'll add a nom for:
Chiodos-Looking for a Tornado

I tried to do this on another forum I go to, but for some reason that song managed to reach their hall of fame...I quickly lost interest.

I know I used to be a regular nominator here, but I just haven't heard a lot of great singles lately! And where is Henrik with his novelty song of the week?

Country hasn't done well here before, but let's try Black Prairie's "If I Knew You Then", a lovely little tune from this Decemberists side project.

Second nomination Chrissie Hynde "Dark Sunglasses". First solo album at the age of 62! (And still just as hot in her cover photo as Patti Smith.)

And let me just note that I will be seeing my only nomination to make it past the second week join the Hall of Fame this week... unless I just jinxed it.

Attention! I think the voting thingy is definitely not working properly. How else can we explain the lack of votes for my brilliant David Kilgour nomination? Surely these votes are getting sucked up in the system!

Seriously, though - does anybody else ever feel completely out of touch with everyone in this forum? I mean, there's some great songs to be found here - don't get me wrong - but I believe with six nominations so far, my songs have received, in total, one vote that wasn't mine (thank you, person). But I don't blame you, my fine friends... I realize we're just not always on the same page. Hopefully, you won't mind if I continue to slip in some less Mumford & Sons-sounding tunes like my next nomination:

Ian William Craig - The Edges

Yet another fine track (from a person with three first names) that you can enjoy, but don't you dare vote for it! Nuh-uh!

Yes.

I've actually NOT voted for my own nominations a couple of times because there are so many great tracks in a week. And I'm always surprised when anybody enjoys one of my recommendations, since there are so many great music minds here. Plus, I'm a flake.

Would like to nominate two tracks from two artists who have recently released incredible albums who were 'one and done' with their first nominations (does that make sense? :? ):

Jenny Lewis - 'Late Bloomer'
Tom Petty - 'Fault Lines'

And an additional re-nomination of the Eels - 'Mistakes Of My Youth'

Friendly reminder that the poll will close in just over two hours. Hopefully you've all had time to make your decisions / nominations! :)
