Looks like I need to give Damon Albarn's album a listen; from what I've read so far (mostly US publications), I'm surprised it's ranked so high. Did it get better reviews from the British press?

It's Damon Albarn we're talking about here. If NME hasn't already declared "Everyday Robots" the album of the decade, I'll be shocked.

Everyday Robots has gotten a stronger showing here than I expected (going by Metacritic and AnyDecentMusic scores), but then I personally have enjoyed it very much so I'm pleasantly surprised. Also, it does seem like the type of album that Europeans would enjoy better than Americans. Sonically and stylistically.
