Sorry for the delay; I did not have access to internet until now.

Spiritualized, who runs the awesome Biggest Fan Albums game on this forum, is today’s Fan. He brings one of those songs that is more in spirit with last time’s Biggest Fan: an obscure song, by an unknown, short-lived band.

16. Th’ Faith Healers – Moona Inna Joona
Year: 1992
EP: Mr. Litnanski
Biggest Fan: Spiritualized (#156)

5. Blood, Sweat & Tears – God Bless the Child
Year: 1969
While the Billie Holiday version is far superior, this cover has David Clayton-Thomas' impassioned vocal and a cool Latin Jazz breakdown at 3:05. #4526 AT.  Gets an 8 from me.
6. Courtney Barnett – Debbie Downer
Year: 2016
Pretty decent chorus. Definitely could see this growing on me with repeat play and the 3:17 runtime leaves me wanting more. It reminds me of another artist (70s era) that I can't put my finger on. Gets a 6 from me.
8. My Morning Jacket – I Will Be There When You Die
Year: 1999
Could see this growing on me as well. A 5.
10. The Beatles – Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!
Year: 1967
#1331 AT. Love the imagery nicked by Lennon from an antique poster. Best bits: Henry the Horse's "waltz" and the trailing calliope. 9 from me. Definitely underrated.
11. Edwin McCain – I Could Not Ask for More
Year: 1999
4. One of those songs I remember from pop radio. I like it enough that I probably would listen to it if I run across it somehow but not enough to add to my Spotify library.
12. Kendrick Lamar, featuring Drake – Poetic Justice
Year: 2012
This song mostly just makes me want to listen to Janet Jackson. The charms of Lamar continue to elude me for the most part. 2 from me.
13. David Bowie – It Ain’t Easy
Year: 1972
The chorus feels wasted to me on unremarkable verses. Calling this one a 3.

I realize I skipped over a couple. I am still deciding how to rate and will come back to them

Ariel Pink & Weyes Blood – Tears on Fire: 8
What a weird song. The artist doesn't need to be controversial to make this divisive. The almost lo-fi nature of some parts contrasts with the melodies and the bursts of opera. Besides, it sounds like all these things are taped together. Somehow the almost crappy nature of all this makes it a compelling song. The disparate elements manage to enhance each other and create something subtly magical. It also helps that I don't quite know a song like it.

Th’ Faith Healers – Moona Inna Joona: 7
Very rough 'n cheap rock. I'll always have a soft spot for this kind of stuff. Besides, the band sounds like they are having fun.

The first song of the new Biggest Fan that I hadn't heard before (and, though not a personal favorite, it's a good one).

Today Geoffrey gets a pick. He’s another user I don’t know, but he has a lot of entries for this game. This time he brings a big hit, with modest acclaim at #5583.

17. Iggy Azalea, featuring Charli XCX - Fancy
Year: 2014
Album: The New Classic
Biggest Fan: Geoffrey (#821)

17. Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX | "Fancy": 5/10

I remember this from when I was young (aeons ago), and the chorus occasionally pops up in my head. I haven't heard it in ages, and it's less fun than I remember.

Well...

It could have been worse, I could have said Iggy Pop, feat. Charli XCX. Is that worse, actually?

Anyway, fixed the mistake.

Sure, but could you also please correct 'Charli XCX' to 'Charlie Parker'?

Whether it's Iggy Azalea or Azalia Banks, both may never be known as the nicest people on Earth and have almost ironically similar career trajectories, but we can't say that they falter in their music. Fancy is one of those songs that doesn't appeal to me on the surface, but just hits all the right notes and it hits them hard. It's definitely a lot of fun.

11. Edwin McCain – I Could Not Ask for More: 3.
This is poor, schmaltzy and boy are these strings too much or what ?
12. Kendrick Lamar, featuring Drake – Poetic Justice: 4
I'm sorry, I can't find much talent in this.
13. David Bowie – It Ain’t Easy: 7
At first I didn't recognise the song, but it came back to me instantly as the chorus progressed. Good track.
14. The Dukes of Stratosphear – Vanishing Girl: 8
Love this (I knew the song previously). I have no idea why XTC decided to create an alter ego band that sounded EXACTLY like XTC. Go figure
15. Ariel Pink & Weyes Blood – Tears on Fire: 6
What a weird song. I had no idea Ariel Pink was involved in this terrible blow to democracy, but I'm not sure it has an impact on his music. The verses are really quite OK in their indie pop way. But the chorus ? My, this is quite bad.
16. Th’ Faith Healers – Moona Inna Joona: 9.5
My nomination and what a great way to start my bunch of songs...Th'Faith Healers are a firm favourite with their Krautrock influenced indie rock. Tom Cullinan plays brilliant, inventive chords and I love Joe Dilworth drumming in this track (he played with PJ Harvey and Stereolab, stablemates for the Healers). The band was kinda short lived with two albums and a few EPs to their name, but Cullinan went on with Quickspace to carry on his fuzzy brand of rock.
17. Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX – Fancy - 4. Nice tempo to this modern song, but boy she does sound quite thick on the chorus.

You said you wanted more obscure songs. How about a song by a Polish (one person?) group that barely existed, released only two barely heard EP’s and whose selection for today is only available on an also barely streamed YouTube video of the whole EP. It is the first track in the link below. Courtesy of the equally obscure Starchman46. The title might sound slightly familiar though.

18. N I G H T P O O L NEON – Perfume From Now On
Year: 2015
EP: Store Escapist
Biggest Fan: Starchman46 (#13)
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTeiIzV ... aveArchive (first track)

N I G H T P O O L N E O N – Perfume From Now On: 7

Another very weird song. It's mostly ambient or just a soundscape. Nonetheless, I find it quite beguiling and I can see the appeal. I doubt N I G H T P O O L N E O N is quick to become Polands artist for the next EuroVision if he continues with this sound.

Funnily enough, a weird ambient thing like this was submitted for Moldova before the artist withdrew. Would’ve been…interesting, to say the least.

Today’s song comes from the list of Musicman, whose name might give away why is part of the forum. The song itself is from a much more famous band than N I G H T P O O L N E O N, thought it’s not one of their more famous tracks.
