Albums and Songs of the 1960s: Final Round

Post by Schüttelbirne »

In the past 10 months we voted on our favorite albums and songs from the 1960s. Now it‘s time for you to rank these favorites!

There will be 150 albums and 250 songs in the final round.

The most important thing first:

Album lists go to Holden
Song lists go to Schüttelbirne

I will split this into two posts to make the distinction clear:

Album poll (lists go to Holden)

You don't need to send me the lists in the form of an excel sheet if you would like to do otherwise, but I could post one if you'd like.

Hi Fred,
I wrote you a PM, but it seems to be stuck in the outbox for some reason.
Normally we use a system where the songs you did not list would receive the medium number of points to make sure that songs that are not voted on by everybody are not at a disadvantage. That means, the songs you didn't vote for would receive more points than your last song on the list, "Hey Jude". If you do not want that to happen, I will just give the songs you didn't vote for their own medium rank, so they receive less points.
Let me know about that, please

The presentation is basically ready, I just need to calculate the results and enter the numbers, but that shouldn't take too much time. I'll probably wait with the rollout until Jackson is finished with the Non-English poll results.

To be honest, I'm not sure the system I described above needs to happen in this poll, since all but three people voted for every song. I'll have a look if it changes the results in a major way. If this is not the case, I might leave it out.

I just sent you a list, Schüttelbirne. Hope I can still participate even though I'm a little past the deadline.

Perfect! But what I wrote you is fine as well. Being awfully late to this. No power left in this tank right now.
