What's the point? The biggest list, the biggest... :D :D :
If you introduce your list like this, are you sure everybody will want to take a look at it? I mean I love the fifties too, but this kind of look-at-my-big-list approach does not really fit with the friendly spirit of this forum.

I'll leave the others judge that. I don't like the way you come, show your lists like it's the holy book and never comment on the others only criticizing and correcting like a teacher. it's a peaceful, friendly forum based on sharing not showing off. You never had a kind word for anybody here. Maybe that's not a crime after all.

Poser is the term I would use.

It does no good to take him seriously, when he taunts. He wants you to get mad. Just laugh him off.

I would think that historical accuracy would be considered extremely important on this site. I just love when I correct someone's mistakes and they act like I'm the bad guy. If someone corrects an error I make, I thank them for the info.

Most of the other posts here are about more current music, which I have no interest in.

I suppose I could post the song again.
On a separate note, my 1956 list would not exactly be the highlight of anyone's day.

So you disingenuously quote only part of my statement which was saracastic in the first place.

I DON'T love correcting mistakes, but unfortunately it's necessary much too often.

Don't deny yourself the pleasure that so clearly defines you Savoy.

You should explain why it's "necessary."

Clearly it isn't needed, just what you enjoy doing. You remind me of Georgie in this regard.

Your pedantic streak appears to now dominate whatever charitable and engaging aspects your personality may once have possessed

Yours is the undaunted intolerance that is so characteristic of grouchy old men. :greetings-waveyellow:

It's necessary because so many people don't do their homework when they make lists and/or statements.

Again, don't make me the villian because other people can't get facts correct. You and them should be thanking me.

As your elder, let me inform you in the most encouraging way possible that cheerless condescension does not result in thanks.

You may want to consider lightening up a bit.

No need to thank me, just do it :music-rockon:

Facts are facts. When I see something that's incorrect I am gonna speak up. And I would hope that others would do the same if I get something wrong.

Correcting mistakes is one thing. What I'm really interested in is the comments about the music. But to do that you've got to care about other people and stop thinking you are almighty and all you deserve is thanks from people for being a pedantic Mr Know It All.
You seem to know a lot about music but if you wanna know my opinion you're spoiling that knowledge with that attitude. Start by being nice to people and maybe they will treat you well.

Everybody says your behavior in this forum IS a mistake. Can you correct this please? It's an info.

AMF is the quietest forum in the web I've never seen, everybody is respectful. This is a simple rule. Your loud arrival breake this and it's not nice.

That is a rather impressive list! I certainly don't have any year lists that are that long. I probably could piece a few together with some effort for certain years in the early 80s if I kept track of every song I liked, but the lists I have rarely extend beyond 150.
