The way this game works is that you will be given two sets of four songs, your job is to rank each of the sets from best to worst. First place gets 4 points, second gets 3 etc.

The song with the most points in each set will advance to the semi-finals. If there is a tie for points, then the song with more first place votes will advance. If they are tied on first place votes as well, there will be a sudden death tiebreak. Also the six highest scoring non-winners in the heat stage (based off point per voter and then percentage of first place votes) will also advance to the semi-finals.

For Tate McRae, although she try to make her style looks like Billie Eilish, some listeners still think that Tate's vocal always reminds them of Camila Cabello. For The Wonder Who?, it was a side project of the American Rock band, The Four Seasons. Although The Wonder Who? is just more known for their song, a cover of the Bob Dylan song, "Don't Think Twice", The Four Seasons have more songs on Billboard's Hot 100, which was almost more than The Beach Boys or The Beatles from Britain. However, for me, for the best song from The Four Seasons, if not "December 1963" (their comeback hit single), "Big Girls Don't Cry" (at a time near the middle of the 1960s, this song was viral nationally). But, their frontman, Frankie Valli, later more known for his song, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You". Although "My Eyes Adored You" become his biggest hit single on the Hot 100 by topping this chart, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" finally become his standard after covered by Andy Williams, Eclat Story, Joseph Vincent, and other acts. It also sampled in the song, "ILY", by Surf Mesa. For Mecano, "Hijo De La Luna" was a Spanish-language song where at a time before Selena many Spanish-language songs just provided to Latin listeners. At first, before Selena, Spanish-language songs moderately received by listeners outside Latin territories. However, since Selena (especially for her ballad "Dreaming of You"), risely Latin music become popular for listeners outside Latin territories but fall then rise again because of the success of "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi. And, now, classic Latin songs like Mecano become familiar for listeners outside Latin territories. For Neil Finn, he was more known as a frontman of Crowded House and Split Enz (more known for their song, "I Got You").
