Unfortunately, this appears to be eligible... (One Direction?!?)

I won't add an incomplete list to the spreadsheet, so hopefully (?) they'll add the missing #28. Seriously, how does a newspaper website make a mistake like that?

The crappy Prince album at #3? This is the worst list ever.

It should be noted this is the critic who criticised the Mercury Prize shortlist simply because none of the people on it were commercially successful or well known, and asked why the likes of Ed Sheeran weren't on it. In other words, he is a pillock who seems to think successful automatically equals better.

Good to see Lucinda Williams there though!

Quick update - they still haven't fixed the error re: the missing #28. When someone asked about it in the comments section, another commenter wrote: "It is hiding from the embarrassment of being included with the other albums on this list."

On a totally unrelated note, why do the Brits get all the good epithets like "pillock", "wanker", "tosser". We North Americans would look like total prats (!) if we tried to use "pillock" in a sentence. Not least of all because most american pillocks are not sufficiently literate to realize they're being insulted...

I digress.

I tweeted one of the critics. The article itself still hasn't been updated.
