Radio-station lists are always questionable, but if these are pics of staff members, then it would meet that eligibility criteria.

Billboard had initially published a top 50 list, that only appeared in the magazine. Thereafter, it published the top 40 portion online, from which this list drew upon. So it would be just these 40 tracks.

Henrik- I'm bumping this, as it pertains to a general question- artist album lists, ranked, aren't eligible for AM? A possible reason for exclusion could be that, in most cases, the lists aren't as lengthy as songs lists.

Not sure why I wondered about gender-rspecific, as we've had gender-based lists from outlets not dedicated to a specific gender (i.e. Rolling Stone's Women Who Rock albums).

As mentioned, Newsday is a New York-based newspaper- the Times, Daily News, Post (the most tabloid-like) and Newsday are the biggies.

There was a previous list of "New York Albums," that wasn't based on where the acts were from, but what captured the mood/spirit of New York. Location-based lists could end up being problematic.
