I haven't listened to this one recently enough to do a full ranking, but "The Cross" is phenomenal. It might be my second favorite by Prince, after "When Doves Cry". A stunning track, beautiful build up, and stellar lyrically.

I believe I had posted the song list. RS isn't a country outlet, but there is a RS Country section on its website. So, that makes it less cut and dry. I'd welcome it, as country, overall, is largely ignored on best-of lists. Wouldn't the list (if it's eligible) only influence the placement of count...

So Rolling Stone finally put out a list of the greatest drummers. I definitely agree. I can't fathom somebody actually having more than 100 artists they genuinely love. For me personally, I'd say I have about 50, and the next 50 on my list are at the "great but not amazing" level.

For a total contrast, my entire top 20 of favorite albums was released before my birth :D
There are a few close calls though, with Grace, In Utero and Automatic for the People a few years early. Is This It is floating near the 20 top, narrowly missing it the last time I made a list.
