Re: Albums and Songs of 1982 Poll
On the Michael Jackson front, i don't see a problem still listening to his music and enjoying it from an objective standpoint, especially Off The Wall, Thriller and the Jackson 5 stuff, which all (i may be wrong here) seem to date from before his despicable behaviour began in earnest. I'd find more ...

Judas Priest - United: 4 I never really got British Steel. I understand it is their most famous album in the mainstream because Breaking the Law was so catchy but for me the main appeal of Judas Priest was the dual lead guitar thing. Not my favourite genre, but Dust Bowl Ballads is one of (if not the) best examples of it and this has always been one of the standouts off that album in my opinion.

This, along with The Chase from the same soundtrack are the peaks of that late 70s electro sound in my opinion - one of the very best soundtracks ever.

I'd agree with Joy Division (I always considered Substance and Still to be albums) but the New Order one has a lot of album tracks, and if we're counting different mixes as making the songs different then a case could be made for something like the Immaculate Collection by Madonna being an album, as...

I'd say so - based in England (at least circa AYE they were) and with two out of three members British. I always think Mitchell and Redding are fairly overlooked - they aren't the only reason but they were one of the reasons Band of Gypsys isn't nearly as lauded as the three Experience albums.
