It's too bad they didn't do a traditional ranked list; I usually find a few gems from them that get overlooked by most other sources. This format is basically unreadable for me.

Really interesting list that shows some of the gaps critic have with "genre" music like metal, prog, emo, punk, and jazz. I've thought before that Ween is one of the most underrated/overlooked artists on AM and this gives me some validation. The Mollusk and Quebec are excellent quirky rock...

The issue with very acclaimed albums sneaking into the field appears to be primarily a 2010s issue given the top of the AM list remains massively biased to albums that have had many years to gain acclaim. Only 45 2010s albums are in the top 500, so there are many popular and acclaimed albums like Ar...

Soft Bulletin and Yoshime block all later Flaming Lips albums, etc. Which post-Yoshimi Flaming Lips albums do you rate with those two? Embryonic is the #11 album for 2009, so they weren't totally forgotten about. If anything it's their earlier albums that get boxed out, as Transmissions from the Sa...

I like Masseduction and Actor the best among her albums, but the self-titled and Strange Mercy are settling in as her most acclaimed. I don't quite get why, but around here most seem to agree that Masseduction is the best of her 2010s work: it placed 25 in our EOD poll compared to 47 for the s/t and...
