Number 1 will always be hip-hop and R&B. It was my first love in music. As I've gotten older and with the help of this website, I've learned to appreciate and really like other genres: rock/punk, alternative/indie, metal, jazz, reggae, electronic especially.

I'm would break down hip hop a little more than just Gangsta Rap. Either put Hip Hop as one category or break it down into Hardcore/gangsta, Southern hip hop, and east coast hip hop, etc. Something like that. Just having gangsta rap as the only hip hop is limiting the genre.
