Note that this is a "one song per artist" list. In addition to the top 50 Beatles songs list that's already been posted here, the site also has a Led Zeppelin top 50 and a Rolling Stones top 100.

Re: Question about Pazz & Jop weight
P&J should probably have some weight, as you imply, simply because of its size and status. If you want to reduce the degree of that weight, feel free - but don't do so out of some concern that because of its size the poll "converges" to sales charts somehow. (I'm not 100% clear what yo...

It looks like Rosen compiled the list by himself, which would make it ineligible for inclusion (although I'm not sure a list like this would qualify no matter how many writers worked on it). It certainly makes good reading, though.

Henrik, are all 120 of those albums going to be added to the database in the update? That would mark a significant jump from the last few years (e.g., for 2012, only 67 new albums were added either to the top 3000 or as bubblers).

A little context for those who might be mystified by the three posts immediately following the chart: as a prank, Otis initially replaced the Swans album at #3 with Rise Like a Phoenix by Conchita Wurst, the bearded Austrian drag queen who just won the legendary Eurovision Song Contest.

Alright, I've got some issues here. 1. Several songs that are initially listed as having been released as a single did not get a proper single release, but did get released on EPs. Are we counting EPs as singles in this case? The songs list is just that - it hasn't been strictly a "singles&quo...
