I understand that it can be frustrating for people who have listened to many albums/songs to apply such a steep scale, but I actually think that generally these people are also the ones who like the overall outcome of a steep scale most.

Thanks Nick for doing this! Here's the scoring system we have used for the yearly polls of the last '80s and '90s polls. It's pretty much established as the yearly poll scoring method now, so I think it should be used here as well. The points scheme is as follows: 1. 50 2. 40 3. 30 4. 20 5. 15 6. 10...

For a long while there were not too many songs lists - at least not that made an impact on the top 50 - but now it's definitely time for another update. Expect something within the next few days.

In the coming update I plan to extend the songs list. Whenever I look deeper at the albums outside AM, this sure looks like a candidate for inclusion.

Sorry for not getting back to you until now, Harold. I think I would go with 21 (at least one number higher than the last pop/rock album, and close to twice the last album of the other genres).
