Being so far behind music these days, I've barely been able to listen to anything new this year. But Vampire Weekend's latest album has really struck me as the best so far. They really did manage to make a new album that sounds very...fresh? for their sound. They are going weirder.

Just as my own person rule of thumb, if there is a mono mix of a record out before, say, 1970, I would go mono. In alot of the mixing, it just seems like they didn't know what they were doing.
