Interesting, Goa Mix is a radio show?

I like the amount of obscure hard to find stuff in this draw, but the downside is, no US CD release = Not on Spotify and difficult to find elsewhere. I wonder if the nominators can help out with their source?

I miss music videos. In the 90s I got a lot of my music from MTV. But I do 75% of my listening at work, and most of the rest in the car or while playing video games so videos are out of the question. Maybe should take some time toward the end of each year to see some of them.

No, I just have it as 1981 in my records. US release was in 1981, didn’t realize AM had it by an earlier UK release. You can just remove it. Hope it wouldn’t have affected 1980 results.

OK Computer has been in my all time top 5 but lately fallen a bit. Not sure what it is, maybe some of its eccentrities are starting to feel gaudy or “Weird for weird’s sake”. Still a great album though and worthy #1.

That depends on whether unranked albums are being counted as 0, not counted at all, or counted as the average of their rankings. I see 69 Love Songs as being about the mythology of love.

The song on 50 Song Memoir covering 1998 is titled ‘Lovers Lies’. Not a big leap to think the song is about working on 69 Love Songs.

Wow, Malibu Ken submits entry for consideration for ‘Worst album covers ever’. It’s viscerally uncomfortable to look at. If I decide I like the album might make playlist just to avoid having to see it when I select the album.

Regarding So Tough I'm proud for having nominated the winner of BMAA8. Currently sitting at my #314 AT.

New Adventures is my #228. When I saw REM in concert, Stipe made a comment about how it was not well received but he thinks it's one of their 2 or 3 best albums. I agree with Michael Stipe.

I like Pinkerton better than the debut. I think after that they kind of doubled down on their nerdy indiosyncracies but couldn't put together catchy melodies anymore.

It can be. Music is meant to evoke emotions, if it evokes them elegantly no particular emotion is inherently positive or negative. I don't agree with that. I'm probably not going to get a songs list in unless deadline is extended but working on albums now.

My highest ranked album to not be on the list is Time Out Of Mind at my #15. I was surprised my #1 was ON the list, but equally surprised Time Out Of Mind is not.
