Yeah, I'm still opposed to the non-Anglophone rule. I think better use of the recommendation threads would be the solution to exposing other posters to rare songs.

OK, so it seems like 15 songs and 15 albums is the best option to keep it consistent with the 90s poll. I suppose that means the scoring system should be the same as well. The only open issue is the non-Anglophone rule.

I'd be happy to extend it to 20 songs and albums per year, but that might be considered excessive. Moon Safari is nice. I heard it for the first time on the plane ride back to Australia in June. It manages a balance of interest and tranquility very well, and I played it repeatedly while drifting in and out of sleep.

One thing I'll say is that I very rarely like 90s hip hop songs that sample 70s/80s funk tracks nearly as much as the original. "Juicy", for instance, takes the cool factor from "Juicy Fruit" but none of the magic.

I'm glad to see people jump to Björk's defense. She really does defy genre categorization as many have said, and she is a singular talent indeed. If it wasn't for Björk, the 90s would be almost a complete wasteland for me other than music by artists established in earlier decades.
