This didn't hit me hard as Silver Apples of the Moon did on first listen, but it'll definitely place. What a group. Like Stereolab, I think I'd like pretty much anything they did because their sound is so strong and unique.

I'm surprised a lot of people seem to be making their lists from scratch. I've kept my list of favorites in an iTunes playlist ever since the last poll and update it pretty regularly. It's much easier that way!

6 . Stereolab - French Disko | 140 | 7 8 . Disco Inferno - The Last Dance / The Long Dance | 134 | 6 So awesome and so unexpected. The top 5 songs are all great too. I'm probably more pleased with the results this month than any of the others, especially with Slowdive replacing U2 at the last minute.

I like Henrik's idea. I do favor the idea of a steep scale in principle, and it has helped several of my favorites make it through, but Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang showed that it's pretty much impossible to get through under this system unless you make someone's top 3. I don't know if that's ideal.

Apparently Actress, who released one of my favorite albums of 2010 in Splazsh, is going to release 2 albums over the next three months. R.I.P is the first, due out in April. Can't wait. They're won't be another MBV record, because it is infinitely more profitable to just keep re-releasing old material and touring over that. There is a reason Pixies never came out with another record. If Kevin Shields was mainly concerned with profits, he would have led his career a lot differently...
