Re: EOY 2017 - Pitchfork (US)

I read the full list and I was quite surprised to see On Hold by The xx. I get that the album came out in January, but the single was released in early November 2016; the website even made a track review of it. Was their cutoff too early or did they just forget about it and tried to sneak the track...

Youtube (or other sites) videos about music

Vox has started a pretty good serie of videos about music. Some are about specific albums or artists but others are about trends or techniques and it is pretty interesting. Here's one about the 80s drum sound but there are also pretty great ones about repetitions, triplets, J Dilla, Trout Mask Repli...

OK, so here is my artists list, hoping I didn’t forget anyone. Some are pretty hard to rank though, LCD Soundsystem is one of my favorite band ever, but how big is Nancy Whang’s influence in the music ? Same for D’arcy Wretzky and the Smashing Pumpkins, since it would seem that Billy Corgan pretty m...

Thanks for this! I'll be curious to see how long American Dream by LCD Soundsystem can hold on to that second spot. Polygon top 500 games of all time

Polygon just finished publishing their list of the top 500 games of all time. As always, you can argue for hours, but it's a very decent list, neither forgetting oldies and pioneers (Rogue, Zorg and Quest for Glory are in the top 50 for instance) nor passing over more recent games (though games from...
