Re: R.I.P. Chris Cornell (1964-2017)

Ouch! This one hit pretty hard. I usually don't go into idolatry of people I don't even know, but Chris was somebody special. He had such unique styles and a voice that nobody could replicate. Their music kept me up at night as I was exploring all their sounds and trippy imagery. Their songs kind of...

I discovered Triple J when I was just the right age for it at 14. It's been love ever since. For this, I'll go by my last songs submission. It's a bit out of date, but I'll include some newer additions after I post the Aussie songs from the last list in order. 1) Powderfinger-These Days 2) AC/DC-You...

This is a movie all about capturing atmosphere and building stress. Spielberg couldn't get the shark to work, but not showing it off helps preserve the surprise.

It is said no Best Film list is complete without Jaws. I can totally see why.

Re: TSPDT Series, #96

Probably the biggest time where I disagreed with the critics. The problems lie not with Kubrick, but with most of the rest of the film. So much of it is filler and a lot of it just isn't scary, aside from a few jump scares. And when they do come, most are exaggerated to the point of being laughable....

Kasabian got pushed back a week, presumably to avoid competition with Gorillaz.

A bit disappointed, but the lead single was enough to win me over. Should be a step up from 48:13 at least.

Gorillaz new album is pretty good. Reminiscent of the early work.

There are a lot of actors I respect and a lot of them I like in a lot of things, but very few who were consistently good in all the films I saw from them.

I could probably rank the greatest performances, but not the greatest actors overall. Would that be okay?
